Inspector-General of Police, (IGP) Suleiman Abba, has ordered an immediate investigation into the death of vice chairman of the editorial board of Sun Newspapers, Pastor Dimgba Igwe.

Police spokesman, CP Emmanuel Ojukwu, said the police would leave no stone unturned in their investigation towards unravelling the circumstances surrounding Dimgba’s death.

The IGP also condoled with the immediate family of the deceased journalist, the Sun Newspapers and the entire nation on the death of the journalist, which occurred on Saturday at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) from injuries he suffered from a “hit and run” vehicle at Okota in Lagos state.

Ojukwu said the IGP was aware of the many worthy contributions of the late journalist to nation-building, and he expressed deep regrets over the tragedy.
